Computer, software and connection questions
These are some of the most common technical questions asked before installation, activation and daily use.
What are the minimum laptop requirements?
QM recommends a Windows 10 or Windows 11 laptop with:
- 8 GB RAM minimum, 16 GB preferred
- SSD storage, minimum 128 GB recommended
- Intel Core-class CPU over 2 GHz
- USB 3 / USB 3.1 port
- Stable internet connection for activation, updates and support
A dedicated laptop is strongly recommended for best stability.
Is a dedicated laptop recommended?
Yes. A dedicated laptop is recommended. If this is not possible, avoid installing other medical or complex device-related software on the same computer, as conflicts may occur.
Which Windows version is supported?
Windows 10 or Windows 11 is recommended. The system should be kept stable, updated carefully and prepared according to the installation instructions.
Does PULSAR® work offline?
PULSAR® can operate offline after activation, but internet access is recommended for activation, updates, support resources, backups and maintenance.
What should I do if the device does not connect?
First restart the computer and make sure the device is connected through a USB3 port. Modern PULSAR versions normally detect communication ports automatically.
If the issue continues, contact support and include your Windows version, device type and connection details.
How much disk space does PULSAR need?
The software requires several GB of space for installation. It is recommended to keep at least 20 GB free on the drive for maintenance, updates and stable operation.
